Klaus Wimhofer – From Apprentice to Department Manager

Since his apprenticeship in the 1990er years, Klaus Wimhofer has been closely connected to Transdanubia. After several exciting years at different sites and a brief stint in the food industry, he returned in 2014. Today, he leads the Cross Dock Logistics department in Pasching – with around 50 dedicated employees.

His responsibilities are as extensive as they are varied:

Klaus manages the complete handling for an international food corporation serving Southern and Eastern Europe, leading a team of commercial and operational colleagues. He particularly values the autonomy, short decision-making paths, and significant room for maneuver that Transdanubia offers.

With justifiable pride, Klaus looks back on his career – from apprentice to leadership role – and on building a strong, reliable team. There’s also room for humorous moments: Dutch clients frequently mispronounce his name as "Wim Hofer," which always brings a smile.

In his free time, Klaus enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs or being outdoors – preferably hiking, sometimes covering over 50 kilometers at a stretch. For him, Transdanubia is above all one thing: dynamic.
