Denis Pernek – From Warehouse to Customs Expert
Since 2012, Denis Pernek has been a fixed part of Transdanubia Werndorf. Today, he works as a customs declarant, ensuring that import and export processes run smoothly. With extensive expertise, he handles tariff classifications, checks customs documents, and maintains close communication with authorities and customers. He continually develops small ideas to make team processes even more efficient.
His professional journey at Transdanubia began very hands-on – as a container unloader. From there, he gradually got to know different areas of the warehouse: wagon loading, goods receipt, goods dispatch, and forklift operations. These experiences help him today to understand customs processes from a holistic perspective.
The variety is what makes his job exciting for him
No day is the same, and there’s a strong sense of camaraderie in the team – that, says Denis, is what makes Transdanubia special. He is particularly proud of having worked his way up from the warehouse to customs expert through dedication and a willingness to learn.
Denis also has a lot of energy in his private life: alongside his job, he is about to complete his studies in logistics engineering and runs his own online business on the side – handling everything from import to shipping himself. He plans to soon get back into his former passions like CrossFit, skiing, and road cycling more intensively.
