Sustainable energy for tomorrow: photovoltaics in Pasching
Sustainability is a core part of Transdanubia’s strategy. In this context, we are pleased to announce another important step: the installation of an additional photovoltaic system at our site in Pasching. With this investment, we are once again sending a clear signal in favor of an energy-efficient and future-oriented corporate culture.
Transdanubia had already installed a 500 kWp photovoltaic self-consumption system on its high-bay warehouse in Pasching in 2017, and the company’s Austrian PV systems now total more than 4,150 kWp.oekovolt
In recent years, the importance of renewable energy has steadily increased. As a logistics company, we are aware of our responsibility within the entire value chain. Not only in transport and our processes, but also in our infrastructure, we want to actively contribute to reducing our carbon footprint. The decision to invest in photovoltaics in Pasching is therefore a consistent step within our comprehensive sustainability strategy.
The new system enables us to cover a significant share of our energy needs ourselves and in a sustainable way. By using solar energy, we reduce our dependence on external energy sources while also contributing to lower CO2 emissions. In addition, self-generated energy provides greater supply security and a more efficient use of our resources.
The Pasching site was chosen deliberately. As an important hub within our network, this location plays a central role in our daily operations. It is precisely here that we can achieve a particularly strong impact through the use of photovoltaics. The energy generated is integrated directly into our operational processes, combining sustainability and efficiency in an optimal way.
The total capacity of all our PV systems in Austria now already adds up to more than 4,150 kWp, with an average annual output of around 4,150,000 kWh, which corresponds to the annual energy demand of several hundred single-family homes.
This investment is far more than a technical expansion—it reflects our entrepreneurial mindset as a family business. We believe that economic success and sustainable action go hand in hand. That is why Transdanubia has been sourcing electricity exclusively from renewable sources since 2025. By investing in green energy today, we are creating the foundation for the stable and future-proof development of our company.
For our customers, this step means working with a partner that actively pursues sustainable solutions. Environmental protection is becoming an increasingly decisive factor in logistics decisions. With initiatives like this, we respond to that development and support our customers in achieving their own sustainability goals.
At the same time, this project strengthens awareness within our company. It shows that concrete measures can make a difference and motivates us to take further steps toward sustainability. These include optimizing our energy consumption, using innovative technologies, and expanding sustainable partnerships along the entire supply chain.
With the installation of the photovoltaic panels in Pasching, we are setting an important milestone. It is an investment in modern technology—and above all, in the future. A future in which logistics stands not only for efficiency and speed, but also for responsibility and sustainability.
We will continue on this path consistently and keep developing our processes and infrastructure. Step by step, we are shaping a company that is ready for the challenges of tomorrow—in harmony with people, the environment, and the market.
